Do you have these? These are called stretch marks. Stretch marks or striae, as they are called in dermatology, are a form of scarring on the skin with a silvery white hue. They are caused by tearing of the dermis, and over time can diminish but not disappear completely. My Mom fortunately doesn't have stretch marks. I heard from my doctor friend that it's kinda an inherited factor...so I HOPE I won't get any...she has some after she got pregnant since her Mom has some, too.
