Sleep Tip

If you struggle to fall asleep or you wake up in the middle of the night, try a preslumber snack about an hour before bedtime. Make sure it has a mix of carbs and protein, so a small bowl of cereal, a whole wheat sandwich or a thin slice of plain cream cheese cake will do [I said "or", not "and", lol].

Some people drink alcohol to help them fall asleep, that is not bad, but experts don't recommend it because it can sometimes wake you up later with what they call "rebound arousal." Drinking caffeine free herbal tea or a warm glass of milk would be a lot better.

Tea is a nice thing also, a warm drink helps relax the body. I do this when I have insomnia.

I don't want to sound irreverent but reading the Bible before I go to sleep lulls me to sleep. That is why I do my Bible reading in the morning right after I wake up, when I'm wide awake. It's not a tip for those who can't fall asleep at night. Don't quote me on this. He, he, he, *lol*

I think I would benefit going to tea... I have been eating ice cream. LOL It works but probably not the best right before bed!

I have found that when I can't sleep or wakeup way too early. If I rub the bottom of my feet with sesame oil it often helps. Great Blog
