    Why yoga is good?

Simply because it makes you feel so much better. Doing yoga and practicing the postures and positions, the breathing exercises and meditation all gives you healthier body, mind and spirit. It lets you tune in and shape up. But there is more to it than nixing modern day stress, studies show that yoga is good for what ails you. It does not only gives you a sound mind and a relaxed body but it helps manage or control anxiety, arthritis, asthma, back pain, blood pressure, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic fatigue, depression, diabetes, epilepsy, headaches, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, stress and many more.

Those are just some of the reasons why more and more people are turning to yoga. A daily practice is your way to reach enlightenment of the soul. Self realization can also be achieved through this. And as it becomes more popular the Crystal Singing Bowls from Nepal and Tibet are becoming more popular too. You may be wondering what those singing bowls got to do with yoga but it has become an integral part in most yoga sessions. The vibrations coming from this magical bowls create a beautiful song perfect for your meditation and healing.

If you're interested in achieving all these, it is better to start with some of the easier positions if you are a beginner, then progress to more challenging poses as your fitness level increases. Don't forget the crystal singing bowls. :)

It's Getting A Lot Cheaper Nowadays

Some of my friends in blogging are looking for cheap hosting packages in web. But with so much to choose from it can get a little confusing especially if you do not understand much about web hosting. There are probably more than a hundred web hosting sites out there where you can purchase your own web hosting plan, most of them are offering competitive prices. I had to tell them to start comparing the top web hosting companies. That way they'll be able to tell who offers the best and the cheapest.

True enough, one of them found this... For as low as $3.95 per month you can get an unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth, free domain for life, you can host unlimited domains, a free set up. The package comes with an Anytime Money Back Guarantee. Hosting your own web site now is very affordable. I got mine for $6.75 about a year ago and I only got my domain name free for a year. Competition has become really stiff the prices keep getting lower every year.

I have also encountered a lot of articles from other bloggers who are not satisfied with their current web hosts. They are complaining about frequent outages and unfriendly customer service. So if you are to purchase a host, it is so important to do a research, check the reviews and ask around. At least this will give you an idea if the web host company is reliable and dependable.

    Getting a Perfect Shave

Did you know that when you shave is almost as important as how you shave? And it turns out that nighttime is the best time. According to experts, this will give your skin a chance to wake up during the day and get the blood flowing. Doing so will make your skin less puffy, so you get a closer, nick free shave. Shaving before going to bed gives your skin time to naturally heal itself overnight because when you just shave and throw on your clothes, the harsh detergents rubbing up against your sensitive skin can cause ingrowns and irritation.

And when you shave, exfoliate first for best results. I heard that a little sugar and water gently rubbed on over wet legs works really well. This clears away dead skin, so those cells can't migrate into open pores and clog them, causing ingrowns. After rubbing, wet your legs with hot water for three to five minutes. Wet hair is three times easier to shave than dry hair because the moist heat open pores, which makes more of the hair shaft emerge from follicles. Finally, use an unscented gel or oil. Choose a product with no sufactants and have natural oils, this will allow the blade to glide over skin, picking up the hair instead of scraping the skin.

    Red in the face

When was the last time you felt really embarrassed that you went looking for the nearest EXIT SIGN so you can just disappear? Mine happened a couple of years ago when hubs and I went to see a movie. After the movie, we were in the mood for some fast food, so we decided to eat at our favorite Japanese buffet. I had a cold then but figured that since I was taking meds and was feeling a lot better, going out was alright. After all, I had been cooped up in the house all week long. But just as I was about to take my first big scoop of Chahan (Japanese Fried Rice) from the buffet, I erupted more than a dozen sneezes, holding up some people behind me.

At one point, I sneezed so hard that I smacked my forehead against the plastic sneeze guard hanging over the food counter. And when I looked up, not only did I see the disgusted faces of people around me, but the entire restaurant was chuckling after my "head-butting" act. At that point, all I can think of was to look for exit signs and run. One of the restaurant staff was "kind enough" to rush over and asked if I needed ice for my bump!

That day, I swore never to dine out again and discovered that food delivery is the safer way to go during sick days. How about you? What's your most mortifying moment that made you wish for an exit sign?

How to get a Salon shampoo job at home

Have you noticed that whenever you leave the salon, your hair can hold for up to 2 days without looking or feeling dirty? That's because the stylist is massaging the scalp as she shampoos to trigger the release of natural oils that's causing the greasy look. To do: Just press into your scalp gently with the pads of your fingertips, then squeeze them slightly together and apart, moving your hands around your head as you go. Do it for a few minutes and then rinse. I've also read that it's still best to use a shampoo for normal hair instead of the ones for oily hair. The latter have high levels of detergents that can strip the scalp of oil, which may signal it to produce more.

    Wishing For A Better Connection

For the past days, I've been having intermittent internet connection and the other night I had no access to the internet. This rarely happens and I had no complains with them in the past. But I had several pending jobs and tons of comments to reply to, and when I tried to call my service provider’s technical support no one was answering the phone. I know it was already in the wee hours but they're supposed to have a 24/7 technical support, right? I’m a very responsible client and I always pay ahead of time, the least they can do is to let me know what was going on so I know what to expect. It's really irritating that you have to pay for so much, yet you don't get the speed you paid for.

That's the problem with the service providers back here. They are confident that people will stick to them because there are only a few of them, even if their service is not that good. Haay, if only there is something better than this company.

Sometimes, I can't help but compare it with Qwest, my brother's service provider in the US. He always has fast connection, his download takes only seconds and not minutes. Plus he says, they are very reliable because he is always on. Qwest High Speed Internet only costs him $19.99 per month, almost the same price as I'm paying for my broadband! It includes the QuickConnect™ installation kit, 2GB of e-mail storage, and quality telephone technical support 24 hours day, seven days a week! I'm terribly jealous that his package comes with the Qwest phone service and automatic protection from viruses, hackers and spammers, their top of the line virus protection has the fastest response to new virus threats and best virus detection. I really wish I can get that kind of service here too. :(

    Dark Elbows?

Our elbows usually get a lot of pressure. Leaning constantly traumatizes the skin, which thickens as it works to heal and protect itself. And not like our hands and feet, the skin cells on our elbows contain melanin, a skin-coloring pigment. Experts say, the more layers of skin there are, the more opaque melanin appears and the darker the skin looks.

To get rid of dark elbows, try to exfoliate them by rubbing with a lemon wedge. The juice's acid slough off dead skin cells and help new cells grow. Then rinse skin and apply pure virgin coconut oil. The oil penetrates deeply to moisturize and strengthen underlying tissue.

Paper Building for Hubs and Joey

When my son turned 10, both he and his Papa have taken a liking to collecting trains, mostly electric. They have started with the cheaper sets back then. Now my son is 13 and slowly, they are starting to collect the more expensive sets and are planning to make a diorama for the trains. They have already designed a layout but due to the limited accessories they have in the stores here, they have not started with the project. There are only a few hobby shops here in Manila and their supplies are limited, it's either they start from scratch or order from the internet.

One time, I was surfing the internet and stumbled upon a website selling model trains buildings. Instead of plastics and resins, Paper buildings were used for dioramas. Since they didn't want pre-made designs, I figured, this will be perfect. It's a software they can use to design and print buildings. It also features walls, windows and roofs detailing that they can easily print.

I gave them the link of the website so they both can check it. Hubs said, this is great and they can save a lot of money because they won't have to buy the kits anymore. Joey got very excited too and can't wait to begin with the project. It's great that both of them share the same interest, at least now, they'll leave my Galleon model alone, haha.

Instantly Relax your Mind and Body

When a tense and stressful day triggers body aches, stop and gaze at chocolates. Simply looking at those rich brown hues stimulates the pituitary gland. This triggers the release of endorphins, feel-good hormones that flood the body after physical activity to ward off pain. Within minutes, you'll have a calmer mind and an ache-free body. :)

    Fun Ways With Shirts

Last night while surfing the internet, I found a very cool web site. I say cool because on this site you can find shirts especially made for gay men. I have a lot of gay friends and I'm sure they're gonna love the site. It is a great and fun web site where you can choose from a variety of designs. The site does not only cater to funny shirts but they also sell suggestive, relevant, flirty tees, humor tees, under garments, and accessories, name it, and you’re sure to find it there. The shirts are appropriately fitted wear for gay men.

If you're a gay and you are looking for fun and creative shirts, or you simply want to give them as gifts, Swish Embassy's cute Gay T-Shirts are just the right clothing for you. The site also offers FREE shipping worldwide on any order of three or more items. You can also avail of discounts on special days. Just like last Labor Day, they offered a 25 percent discount to their customers. You know how these "queens" are, they always want to be the center of conversations. With these relevant and fun shirts, you will surely get that attention. Head to the site and view their designs.

    Hubs' Baby, The Civic

My husband drives a Honda, it’s not of the latest model but he is proud that it still performs very well. Despite its age, his friends still admire its impressive handling. It is well-maintained and hubs makes sure that it gets regular tune-ups, change oil and the likes. One of his friends even commented that his Honda still oozes with sex appeal.

This car is his baby that he thinks I envy (lol), and my son's favorite. He is still in the process of modifying the engine but has already installed some parts to improve its handling. He likes it simple without much body modifications but he's open to body kits and have been sourcing out the web for simple car body kits. Little by little, he is buying parts like exhaust systems and suspension parts that would improve the car's handling. Although Manila is like a parking lot due to traffic on weekdays, he lets it rip in the tollways were its engine really shines on weekends. He has received several offers for it being an original import from Japan (which is very rare). The latest one was from a group who would like to modify it for an upcoming car show. He's still thinking, but he might go for it as he will be getting the parts and the body kit for free.

If he does agree, I just hope the car won't turn out like a bachelor's car after all it is still a family car. :)

    Relax A Tense Back

Nothing is better than a good back rub to ease muscle tension and help you unwind after a long, tiring day. Want a quick pick-me-up? Get a tube sock and fill it with 3 to 4 tennis balls. Tie the end, then stretch it around your back and move it back and forth, just as you would a towel after a shower or bath. The rolling motion kneads tight muscles, loosening them on the spot for instant relief. Try it, it really works!

    Minka Aire Fans

Some people think ceiling fans are just for tropical country homes, they are not. You know how beneficial these fans are during those hot scorching days of summer. Others install them for decorative purposes. But these beautiful fans serve a number of useful purposes. Besides making your room look beautiful, it generates more air movement and is also a great space saver.

Shopping for good quality fans can be daunting. There are so many of them and they come in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and finishes. There are white, brushed nickel, maple, mahogany, and oil rubbed bronze, stainless steel, copper, polished brass and lacquer finishes. Sizes vary too, so it is important to determine the size of your room first before you begin shopping for fans. Small rooms up to 64 square feet, a 29" fan is just right; rooms up to 100 square feet, choose a 42" fan; rooms up to 225 square feet, 52"inch; and for large rooms up to 400 square feet, 56", 60" or install two 52" fans.

To narrow down your search, check this out, Minka Aire Concept II fan. Minka fans, made by one of the leaders in the decorative lighting industry, are available at LightingSale.com. If it's quality and workmanship you are looking for, try Minka.
