    RT|WW - Angelica

    Wordless Wednesday

This is just one of the angel cross stitch projects I have done in the past.

    Sensational Caribbean

The Caribbean is one of the places my family dreams of visiting someday. As I have mentioned a lot of times already in this blog, we love spending time fishing and swimming. Summer will never be complete without at least one trip to the beach. The farthest we've gone is Guam, more often, we would visit nearby provinces and enjoy their beautiful beaches. Last year we were in Pagbilao, Quezon and oh it was so much fun!

But while the Caribbean still remains a dream, the kids and I love to explore the internet and learn about the place -- its picturesque views, the exclusive caribbean hotels, and the wonderful beaches. We love viewing the seductive beauty of the Caribbean through the web. Someday I told them, we would go for an all inclusive hotels vacation. Who knows, next year (crossing my fingers) we might be booking for Ocho Rios hotels. :)

How about you? What are your plans this summer? If you are tired of the cold weather and you're thinking of going to the beach, then I would say consider visiting the Caribbean. This paradise has been noted for its picturesque beaches, emerald jungles, rugged mountains and a perfect climate. No wonder it tops the list of the best places to visit. I'm sure you love to travel in style, bask in the sun, enjoy long and quiet walks on the shore, and take a dip in the beautiful deep blue waters of the island. That's what Caribbean is all about.

    DIY Body Mist

These cute, white flowers are known as neroli, and according to legend, the Princess of Nerola in Italy had such a passion for the peppery aroma of these flowers that they were named after her. The oil that comes from these beauties is as beneficial for the health of your skin as it is luscious. In fact, the oil has been shown to soothe skin and your senses. The scent of the neroli flower will instantly ease tension and create a carefree feeling.

For a calming body mist, follow this easy recipe I found.
    • 10 to 15 drops of neroli essential oil
    • 1 oz. glass misting bottle filled with spring or distilled water
Add the oil to the water, shake well (to ensure the oil mixes thoroughly) and spritz on your pulse points.

    Show Your Wares

Trade shows have significantly become a popular way of increasing attendance for a relatively low cost. Participating in trade show displays allows you to get in front of a lot customers and gives you the opportunity to describe your product or service without spending so much on advertising. This is also the venue where big and small business can compete in a more equal footing and scale. It will be very expensive for your small business to compete with the largest names from around the world if we are to talk about advertising, so why not participate in more affordable trade shows and line up with them.

Putting up a booth is not time consuming, and there are budget pop-ups, truss and panels available for a minimal cost. If you have been to trade shows before then I'm pretty sure you already have an idea on how to put up your exhibit booths. Banner stands and logo floor mats are the first things visitors will notice so pay close attention in setting them up.

Trade shows are one of the cheapest ways to showcase your products. Reach a wider audience and learn more about these by clicking on the links.

    Strawberry To The Rescue

The scorching summer heat and sweat can exacerbate oily, acne-prone skin. To clear blemishes, the secret is.... STRAWBERRIES! The delicious berries contain more vitamin C than citrus fruit. This important nutrient dissolves pore-clogging oil, and because strawberries are rich in antioxidants, it stops free radicals from damaging skin cells.

For a skin-clearing mask, do this: In a bowl, mash 8 berries with a fork. Stir in 2 tablespoons honey and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Apply to face. Let sit for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Refrigerate excess mask in an airtight container. It will last for up to 1 week.

    Repair A Wrinkle

A lot of skin care products contain peptides. According to experts, peptides are used to treat wrinkles. But what actually are peptides and how does it work to make you look younger? As we age, our skin becomes thin and wrinkled. That's because collagen is destroyed. Skin care products containing peptides, such as prototype 37c nourishes our skin to make more collagen. The key to looking young is to replace lost collagen and applying peptides directly to your skin sort of tricks our skin into thinking that it has lost collagen recently and needs to make more. So the next time you're buying a wrinkle cream, make sure it contains peptides.

    Grow Young with HGH

First discovered in the 1920s, human growth hormone has long been thought to be necessary to stimulate the body to full adult size. But scientists recently discovered that it also works for people ages 21 and over. According to them, hgh helps regulate and maintain your tissues and organs. So you see, hgh is not only for children. It has become a popular anti-aging supplement and people who supplemented with it say they look and feel a lot younger. Ask your doc if hgh is for you. :)

    Men Vitamins

I was a bit concerned that hubs easily catches cold lately. He has stopped taking the multivitamins I gave him because he said his appetite tremendously increased. Though it gives him more energy, he gets hungry too often. I had to call our GP to ask if there are other alternatives and he recommended that he takes the best multivitamin for men. He says this will work effectively without increasing his appetite. He adds that these vitamins will help to balance out the body and supplement his health over time. Hubs like taking care of his body and although he's not so keen on working out, he likes to keep his weight on par.

    Germ-Free Makeup

Tossing your eye makeup every six months because of germ buildup pains you to see your favorite shades go to waste. But you really don't have to throw them away. To extend the life of your eye shadows, so a twice-a-month cleaning ritual: Pat a small strip or packing tape over the cake's entire surface. This technique lifts off the topmost layer to keep your makeup germ-free.

    Thank You FC!!!

    Missing The Girl

I don't know what happened but this little spoiled brat suddenly kept peeing on my door mats. He was not trained but he already knows where to go and now he seems to be marking all the mats. My daughter said, he's probably upset that he's always left at home alone. We used to bring him with us whenever we go visit my in-laws but stopped because his "girlfriend" there is infested with ticks and fleas. The poor boy surely misses her a lot!

    Be More Energetic With Turquoise

Who would have thought that turquoise can outsmart hot-weather fatigue? But it's true! Old Indian tribes of the Western states believed the gem was a protector of body and soul that connected those who wore it to the heavens, providing spiritual and physical energy.

Gem therapists believe it too. They say that turquoise is linked to the 3rd Chakra, which is the body's spiritual energy center located just below the ribs. What it does is to focus on a person's energy and accentuate her powers of intuition and awareness. And to garner the most power from this gem, they recommend wearing a turquoise pendant that dangles below your heart. But of course you can also tap into spiritual energy by wearing turquoise rings or bracelets.

    Thinking Ahead

Even with her regular job, my aunt said you can't be too sure these days. Who knows, you might be out of job the next day, she adds. She likes to think ahead, and makes sure she always update the resume she posted at New York job search. She couldn't afford to be jobless especially now that they are down to one income. My uncle is sick and undergoing treatment and there's still the mortgage to think about.

    Dead, 3 times!

About a month ago, my father-in-law was rushed to the hospital from what we thought at first as a heart attack. He was pronounced DOA when they arrived at the emergency room. The doctor on duty managed to revive him but gave us a very slim chance of recovery. My SIL , who was the first to reach the hospital told us that he had actually died three times in a span of six hours. We were also informed that his brain had been without oxygen for at least ten or fifteen minutes, the reason for the coma. His case? His heart suddenly stopped beating for no apparent reason. My FIL is 75 and has undergone a multiple heart bypass surgery 14 years ago. For 2 days he was in a coma but he miraculously woke up on the third day as if nothing happened to him.

He is now back at home, not quite back as himself because the loss of oxygen, we were told, had an effect on his brain. He doesn't remember what happened and has also forgotten a lot of things. Had it not been for the young intern sitting beside him inside the church where it happened, we could have lost him. The student doctor was on his way to school but happened to pass by the church to hear the early morning mass. When FIL fainted beside him, they rushed him to his car, got his Pelican Cases out and administered first aid. He felt no pulse so they immediately rushed him to the hospital. We will forever be grateful to this man.

Although not quite the same, FIL still does the same things he did before it happened. But with some therapies, we are hopeful he'll recover from it.

    DIY Toner

Did you know that fresh lemon juice makes a great toner for skin and can fade any discoloration for a more even complexion? Here's what you should do: Simply dilute 1/4 cup lemon juice with 3 tablespoons witch hazel oil and 2 tablespoons water, then apply over freshly washed skin. You'll have brighter skin in just a few days. This DIY toner will last for three to five days.
