Feed Your Skin
When it comes to beauty, our moms were right all along - what's on the inside is just as important as what's on the outside. Recent research shows that some foods and beverages can literally improve your skin from within. Here are some of them:
POMEGRANATES - Science proves it that consuming pomegranate juice, extract and oil, as well as using creams containing pomegranate extract, effectively helps reverse skin aging caused by the sun's ultraviolet rays.
PROBIOTICS - These are beneficial bugs that live in our bodies and help fight off myriad diseases. Probiotics are great for acne or other inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, when they are in foods like yogurt or taken as supplements.
GOAT'S MILK - It seems the regenerative powers of milk baths are not just old wives' tales. According to experts, all milk, including the new superstar of beauty products - goat's milk, contains protein and lactic acids that can soothe and soften skin. They also have a theory that milk's biologically active growth factors can actually make skin cells act younger than they really are. Goat's milk offers even more benefits than cow's milk. It is less allegenic and has more minerals and vitamins A and B and is rich in shorter-chain fatty acids, which balance pH and increase absorption of milk fats.
Pamper your skin and body, remember to look for these wonder ingredients in food, beverages, supplements, and beauty products for a glowing, youthful skin. Just be careful not to eat or drink too much of a good thing. :)
Have a wonderful weekend!
