Hardanger Embroidery

Hardanger embroidery or "Hardangersom" is a form of embroidery traditionally worked with white thread on white even-weave cloth, using counted thread and drawn thread work techniques. It is sometimes called Whitework embroidery. (taken from Wikipeda)

I find it easier than cross stitching. It may look complicated but once you get the hang of it you'll love it. I do cross stitch too but lately, I've been concentrating with hardanger embroidery. While cross stitch projects take too much of my time, hardanger doesn't. You can finish a simple project in just a few hours.

Here are some hardanger projects I've done in the past.

The hardanger pillow was done by my sister in law.
