The crisp scent of citrus fruits stimulate the brain which results in an increase in serotonin, making you feel more alert. A potted lemon or calamansi plant not only leaves the air purified but the fruits exude fragrance.
What's more? Banks have made it even more easier for their clients. Back in 2004, they introduced this technology where you can make check deposits electronically with a scanner and an ordinary PC. How do you do it? Simply pass the check or money order through your scanner and transmit it through your bank electronically. DepositNow can be used with your existing bank account, you don't have to open a new account to use this service. A lot of people may not know about this because when it was first introduced it did not garner too much attention, maybe because scanners back then were a bit pricey. Now, they have developed their own scanner at half the price which also works as a regular scanner.

Give them BEEF for brainpower. The red meat is packed with vitamin B12 which can help boost attentiveness, concentration and memory scores.
Before Starting on their homework, give your kids a MILK CHOCOLATE. Munching on this yummy snack can heighten alertness within 15 minutes. The milk chocolate is rich in compounds that boost blood flow to the frontal lobes of the brain by 50%.
A bowl of OATMEAL at breakfast can supercharge their concentration by 20%. The antioxidants in oatmeal protect braincells from toxins, keeping them more focused.
LEMONADE sharpens their memory. Studies show that students who sipped this beverage before studying a list of words remembered 50% than kids who skipped the drink. The vitamin C slashes the level of stress hormone. It prevents stunting the cell activity in the brain's memory center leading to faster recall. Make sure to fill their thermos with lemonade especially during exam days.
Here in the Philippines, school will start next month, so pinay mommies I encourage you to take a note on this list so you won't have problems with your kids when it's time to do their homeworks.

Peace Globes did not begin as a meme. But it began to behave like a meme. Blog to blog to blog. Like a fog. We didn't use the word "tag" ....but that's what we did when we invited others in our blogrolls to participate. The fact that you did so without the obligatory tag is proof that the concept is powerful. It's a fact that the fastest and most effective way to spiral an idea out of control in the blogosphere is via a meme. I should know! The 700+ bloggers who participated in past launches (and that truly is the tip of The-Iceberg-I-Never-Found) knows what it means to them. It's about unity. We have that in spades. It's about activism, awareness, crossing political lines, making a statement and sharing ideas. We've done that. We have the vision as a core group of bloggers for peace; but we do not - yet - have the power in numbers behind the message.
BlogBlast For Peace Meme ~ Join The Revolution
Here are the rules and the story. Copy this into a post and tag as many people as you'd like.
How To Get Your Peace Globe In 4 easy steps! The Peace Globe project began in the fall of 2006 with a simple post from one blog, Mimi Writes. The post ignited a flame in the blogosphere. The flame became a passion. The passion became a movement. It amazingly traveled from blog to blog to blog across the globe. Bloggers wrote passionate articles on what peace means to them, along with the promise of three Latin words scribbled on a globe - Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant Us Peace) - branded with the integrity of their names or blog names. It was positively inspiring to watch. And it began to happen all over the world - from Singapore to China to Afghanistan to Brooklyn.
It was simple. And powerful.
In less than two weeks bloggers from all
across the globe will blog for peace.
We will speak with one voice. One subject. One day.
Won't you join us?

Both of them did their Christmas shopping at the black friday web site and took advantage of the discounts, coupons and free stuffs they offer. I checked out the website and saw that they have a lot to offer like clothes, shoes, toys, gadgets, appliances, cosmetics and jewelries to name a few. They asked the kids to choose what they want for Christmas from their long list of available items and bought the items there. The items they have there are a lot cheaper compared to the ones in the department store. Having very little time for shopping because of their busy schedule, they saved a lot of time and money shopping online.

To avoid buying those "extras" it will be wiser to make a list of the things you only need before you do any shopping expedition. Estimate a reasonable total of the things you're going to buy and bring just that amount when you go. Leave your credit cards at home if possible. Your first line of defense to save more is to eliminate all the tools that will allow you to overspend. It may be difficult but you should train yourself to think really hard about any off the list purchases. Ask yourself if you really need it. Even if the answer is "yes" don't put it in your shopping cart yet. Get the things on your list first. This simple act can help you resist the temptation of buying on impulse. At times like this, we, mommies should learn to manage our finances well.

Plants and flowers really make a home attractive but because of my son's hay fever, I can't even put fresh flowers in the living room and my altar. I was never fond of artificial or plastic plants and flowers as they only accumulate more dust. It was only when my friend introduced me to silk plants. Hmmm... why not? Faux plants and trees do not attract insects and do not have pollen particles. Plus, I don't need to water them and spray some pesticides. [My mom's friend died of cancer due pesticides. ] Silk plants remain in shape and retain their colors for a long, long time. They're very low maintenance plus the fact that I am helping the government save our environment. No trees are cut.
Enough said, I'm gonna check Artificialplantsandtrees.com now and shop for some silk plants.
I have written ads about web sites, movies, jewelries, furnitures and some popular brand names like Hugo Boss, Nokia, and Bvlgari. But it would be more fun for pro bloggers like me to see more popular brands advertising on our web sites. Brands like Nike, Rolex, Adidas, Gucci, Sony, Tommy Hilfiger, Apple, Dell, HP, Louis Vuitton, and Guess. I am a foodie and I would also like to see some food products advertised here.
SocialSpark.com is so brilliant to encourage their bloggers to write about what kind of advertisers they would like to see on their blogs. They are also opening new venues for these companies to reach out and expand their captive markets. Social Spark has indeed come up with a great idea of bringing advertisers and bloggers in creating a huge marketing network.

The Death Note is a supernatural action-mystery movie. It's about a notebook dropped by the Shinigami death god. Anyone whose name is written in that notebook dies. Light Yagami uses the power of the DeathNote to eliminate all evil, and that's everyone in the list. The authorities were alarmed when criminals started dropping dead. They sent a legendary detective "L" to investigate. Both believed they are in the side of justice and vied to prove which one of them is good and which one is evil. The featured 20-minute movie is dubbed in English. Don't forget to bring your popcorn!

If you are an Ass : A very loyal and sweet person. Your loyalty can never be doubted. You are quite honest and sincere when it comes to your attitude towards working. You are a very simple person, indeed. Absolutely hassle free, humble, and down-to-earth!! That explains the reason why your friends cling on to you! You have a good taste for clothes. If your wardrobe is not updated with what is trendy, you sure are depressed. Popular and easy-going. You have a little gr! oup of dignified friends, all of them being quality-personified.
If you are a Slug : Always up to some sort of a mischief! The mischievous gleam in your eyes is what mak e s you so cute and attractive to everyone. You are an extremely fun-to-be-with kind of person. No wonder people seek your company and look forward to include you for all get-together's. However, you are sensitive which is a drawback. People need to select their words while talking to you. If someone tries to fiddle around and play with words while dealing with you, it is enough to invite your wrath. God bless the person then!
If you are a Cockroach : Quite contradictory to your name, you are a peace loving person. You best try to avoid a situation wherein you are required to fight. An outdoor person, you dislike sitting at one place for a long duration. You are a born leader, and have it in you how to tactfull! y deriv e work from people. You love being loved and when you receive your share of limelight from s omeone, you are all theirs!!!! Well, well... Hence some people could even take an advantage, flatter you to the maximum and get their work done. So be careful.....
If you are a Parasite : An extremely lovable, adorable person, sometimes shy, with a passion for quick wit. At times, you prefer quietness. You love exploring various things and going into depth of each thing. Under normal circumstances you're cool but when given a reason to, you are like a volcano waiting to erupt. You're a fashion bird. People look forward to you as an icon associated with fashion. Basically, you mingle along freely but don't like talking much to strangers. People feel very easy in your company. You observe care in choosing your friends.
If you are a Skunk : You are near to perfect and nice at heart! . The e xamples of your kindness are always circulated in groups of people. You, too, love peace. You wouldn't like to retaliate even to a person who is in the wrong. You are loved due to this. You do not wish to talk behind one's back. People love the way you always treat them. You can give, give, and give love, and the best part is that you do not expect it back in return. You are generous enough. Seeing things in a practical light is what remains the best trait of you guys.
If you are a Bullfrog : You symbolize a very happy-go-lucky approach in life. Whatever the surroundings may be, grim or cheerful, you remain unaffected. In fact, you spread cheer wherever you go. You are the leader of your group of fri ends! and go od at consoling pe ople in their times of need. You dislike hypocrisy and tend to shirk away from hypocrites. They can never be in your good books, no matter what. You are very methodical and organized in your work. No amount of mess, hence, can ever encompass you. Beware, it is easy for you to fall in love....
If you are a Snake : You are mysterious. You are someone who can handle pressure with ease, and can handle any atmosphere without going berserk. You can be mean at times, and love to gossip with your selected group. Very prim and proper. You like all situations and things to be in the w! ay you desire, which, sometimes is not possible. As a result, you may lose out in some relationships. But otherwise, you love to help people out from difficult and tight spots when they really need you.
If you are an Ape : Very impatient and hyper!!! You want things to be done as quick as possible. At heart, you are quite simple and love if you are the center of attraction. That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Therefore, you take your precautions from the very beginning. When you foresee anything wrong, your sixth sense is what saves you from falling in traps. Quite a money minde bunch you people are.

I've never been to France yet but I have to admit I fell in love with it too when I took the virtual tour. I used to think that vacationing in Paris would cost a fortune but after checking some hotels, I found out that I was wrong. The Paris Hotels, Venice Hotels, Hotels Rome and Amsterdam Hotels offer cheap accommodations with excellent service. Imagine paying less and still live like a king. I am so sure mom and dad won't only have a great time exploring Paris and its main attractions like Arc De Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Le Louvre, Notre Dame De Paris and Versailles. They'll have a great time shopping too and check out Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. Just think of the Euros they can save from their hotel bills.

How would you like to see your very own commercial at Tonight Show on NBC? If you're a legal resident of US, 18 years or older, you are eligible to enter the Dockers contest. Just create your own 30-second video telling your own Dockers story. The video has to be your own style, creative, modern, and as my husband says, rugged and classy. You must also highlight the Dockers brand. The contest started April 29 and will end on June 06, 2008. But please note that submission of entries will only be until May 29. There will be only one grand prize winner and the winning entry will be aired on Jay Leno's show on its June 13, 2008 broadcast.
Start visualizing your dockers video now and check on the link for more information.

Just a few weeks ago I had an invite from SocialSpark, it's a new advertising network and I signed up immediately. I have made several posts for them already and I must admit that I'm really having a great time. And Just recently, Social Spark has gone live! At social spark you get to interact with other bloggers and advertisers, too. You get to meet new friends and add them to your list. You also get to view other bloggers who have taken the same opportunity as yours. Your friends, other social carders and the advertisers can give you opps or drops so you will have a better idea if you did well on an opportunity or not. You may also vote for them in the same way. What I like so much about them is, you can be friends with the advertisers.
This ad network is google friendly too because each link in social spark automatically carries the "no-follow" attribute. Social spark is so cool! It is just like friendster and pay per post all rolled into one. So friends... sign up with social spark now and earn while having fun, I would be happy to add you in my friends list.

This wonderful award came from five beautiful mommy friends Emila, MM, Ate Lena, Vannie and Juliana RW. Thank you mommies for giving me this award. I love it!
"Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I think it’s not too early to pass an award that Emila made, so that it will reach as many mommies as possible from all around the world by May 11th. Even if it’s not Mother’s Day, you can also pass this around in conjunction with special days like birthday, etc."
You can get the code –> here <– I can’t put the code directly in here coz it will clash with WP codings
(Rules: there are not rules, just enjoy Mother’s Day)
I'm sharing this with other great mommies: Sexymom, Melanie, Tina, Ellen, Sandy and Arlene.
Advance Happy Mothers' Day!

What's best about Sonick Shack is you can set up your shop by building a shack. Creating a shack is so easy and fun. When you are done designing your shirts, these items can be automatically emailed to your friends so they can check out the designs. That way, you will be notified by them immediately if they want something altered. You also have the option to showcase your custom designs on your web site. Sonick Shack will provide you with plug-ins. You don't have to spend for advertising. This is so far the easiest and most fun designer web sites I have seen. Click on the link to learn more.
