5 Simple Ways to Sleeping Soundly at Night

Most women suffered from difficulties in sleeping at some point in their lives. Others spend hours concentrating or turning from one side to the other until they fall asleep. Here are some simple patters to help you sleep soundly at night.

  1. Regular exercise. Simply increasing your level of activity at night can help you fall asleep easily.
  2. Avoid coffee in the afternoon. Aside from coffee, you may also limit your tea and soda intake because these beverages contain caffeine and will keep you awake at night.
  3. Lie down when you're already tired. Avoid spending long hours in bed staring at the ceiling and worrying when you will fall asleep. Should that be the case, get up and do something that can help you relax, then go back to bed when you're ready to sleep.
  4. Avoid changing your sleeping schedule. Sleeping late on weekends because there's no work the next day can possibly trigger circadian rhythm which will break your regular sleeping time.
  5. Consider Melatonin. A hormone is a natural sleep aid and studies prove that this is an aid to people who suffer from insomnia. But it is best to consult your doctor for the right dosage.
My cousin suffered from insomnia for years and these simple sleep aids helped a lot to get back to her normal sleeping time.

Insomnia is a sleeping disorder characterized by persistent difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep despite the opportunity. It is typically followed by functional impairment while awake. Insomniacs have been known to complain about being unable to close their eyes or "rest their mind" for more than a few minutes at a time. Both organic and non-organic insomnia constitute a sleep disorder. *borrowed from Wikipeda

Circadian rhythm is a roughly-24-hour cycle in the physiological processes of living beings, including plants, animals, fungi and cyanobacteria. *also borrowed from Wikipeda
