Chocolate Mythology

There is really nothing wrong with chocolate. In fact, almost all of us love this yummy treat but many suffer unnecessary guilt when consuming it because of some beliefs about its adverse effect on health.

Studies have revealed that chocolate has many interesting characteristics and if you have been following my posts, I have written several articles about how chocolate cab be beneficial to our health.

Here are some myths and facts to set the records straight.

MYTH: Chocolate is not nutritious.
FACT: Chocolate is a good source of folic acid, copper and magnesium. It contains antioxidabts that help protect the body against the damaging effects caused by stress, pollution, and processed foods.

MYTH: Chocolate causes zits.
FACT: Contrary to popular belief, there is no scientific proof that pimples are related to chocolate consumption.

MYTH: Chocolate causes cavities.
FACT: Although chocolate has high sugar content, it also contains minerals that inhibit the growth of tooth decay.

MYTH: Chocolate makes you fat.
FACT: Overindulgence is what makes you fat. Eating in moderation together with exercise is the key to maintaining a healthy body weight.

To put it simply, you can't go wrong with chocolates.

I agree completely and did a post on the benefits of chocolate. I love it and moderation is the key. I live for chocolate!

I love chocolates. I would eat it even if it adds a kilo to my weight. hehe.....

Whatever they say about chocolate, I will never stop eating it, especially the dark variety. I can do away with any other kind of candy but not chocolate!

So, even eating the whole bag is okay?

I wish I like the dark, I think it is better for you but I love the milk chocolate kind and put a little caramel in there, yummmmy!
