SIDS and Coffee Link
Are you pregnant? Do you drink too much coffee? New Zealand researchers have confirmed that pregnant women who drink more that 4 cups of coffee a day are 2 times more likely to have their babies die of SIDS [Sudden Infant Death Syndrome].
Apart from slowing down on caffeine, parents are advised to put their baby to sleep on its back. Dress and cover him comfortably but not too tightly and avoid keeping the baby too warm. The cot/crib should have good ventilation, the sides should be open and without bumpers. The mattress should be empty of toys. You can sleep with your baby in the same room but avoid sleeping in the same bed, it increases the risk. You should also try to breastfeed for at least six months.

that's scary! i didn't know coffee can be that bad!
Interesting on the caffeine. Sleeping with the baby in the bed CORRECTLY does not increase the risk of SIDS. The incidence of SIDS in co-sleeping babies is significantly decreased (I think I'd heard it never happened, but I don't have a source).
hello...ndi me tinatabi mga anak ko lalo na nung maliliit cla coz i'm so malikot pag matulog at bka masiko ko lang cla..katabi ko lang yung mga crib nila..
hi mommy Liza! was here...have a great weekend!
How terrifying! I was so grateful when both my girls were past the sids risk age!
I doubt the conclusion.
Sleeping on the back can lead to breathing in of liquids and such.
So it's better to sleep at the side.
