The Smell of Roast

Did you know that the smell of roasting meat can sap energy? That's according to experts at Chicago's Smell and Taste Research Foundation. Researchers say the food's odor molecules naturally dampen the brain's ability to produce energizing beta waves. It may help to step out of the kitchen while waiting for your roast to cook. Or go to your garden and smell the flowers to boost your brain's production of beta waves. It can increase your energy levels by 25 percent in just one minute.

This is something interesting. Never thought the smell of roasting meat can sap energy. Probably is the smell of it that makes people hungry and when you are hungry, you have low energy. :P

Ok, I'm not sure what this says about me - but it's early Friday morning and that pig reminded me that bacon would taste really good right now. And, frankly since my daughter only alloted me 2.5 hours of sleep last night - I think I'll put a roast on as well - might as well let the full effect set in.
Happy Friday!
