Carbs Can Affect Your Skin

We all love carbs because they taste delicious and they are an important source of energy, but they can also wreak havoc on our skin because carbohydrates can trigger acne and other skin conditions. Consuming too much carbs can rev up blood sugar levels, which can trigger oil production and worsen acne.  Worse, high blood sugar can lead to premature aging!

To avoid this, go for whole-grain products.  Whole-grains can be digested more slowly and won't lead to sharp spikes in your blood sugar level.  Sink experts also suggest adding proteins like chicken to your rice or pasta or peanut butter to your toast.
