Review and Giveaway: Healing Tree Bamboo Charcoal Soap (ends May 20)

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Today's review is all about the Healing Tree Bamboo Charcoal Soap. The Healing Tree is a family owned business in California. The business began in 2004 and they specialize in Tea & Herbs and natural health products. In 2011, they opened a new division and began creating their own unique brands of natural relief products made with Bamboo Charcoal Technology.

Product Description

Healing Tree Bamboo Charcoal Soap is high in absorbency so it draws dirt from deep inside the pores. Unlike normal soaps that only clean the surface of your skin, this soap can free up a lot of dirt that clogs deep beneath your skin especially if you have acne, eczema, psoriasis, and dry/cracked skin. Bamboo charcoal undergoes a firing process of 1,800 F to create high absorbency properties making it 4x more absorbent than wood charcoal. As a result, it cleanses your skin by removing years of accumulated dead skin cells.

With your pores re-opened, your skin will begin to begin to breathe again and naturally moisturize itself. There's no residue like other soaps, doesn't dry out your skin, and has no harmful chemicals. So if you want to feel what it's like to have your skin feeling like new, give this amazing soap a try!

My Opinion

When my soap arrived, I was surprised to have two. Yay! They were nicely packaged and on the label it says fragrance free, but there is a very faint fresh earth smell, which I love. It's not offensive at all. The color of the soap, as you can see in the photo is almost black because the main ingredient is charcoal.

Right after I washed my face, I had this very fresh feeling. Aside from feeling fresh and clean, I noticed that the pores appeared tighter. It's probably because the soap works to deeply cleanse skin and rid it of dead skin cells.

The faint smell that I love doesn't stay on the skin, so it's a plus for those who don't like using fragrant products.

Pros

There are only four ingredients in this soap: Vegetable Oil, Water, Glycerin and Bamboo Charcoal. That means the soap is safe to use and won't harm, even the most sensitive skin.

Cons

I honestly didn't find anything I didn't like about the bamboo charcoal soap.

Recommendation

The soap works well with oily and acne-prone skin because it deeply cleanses and unclog pores of dirt. It's also great for those who wear makeup everyday because it washes away dirt and debris, leaving your skin clean and able to breathe again.
