Cute Costumes for Halloween

Have you decided on what you will be for Halloween? If you want to get away from the norm -- witch, zombie, vampire, ghost, superheroes, princess and Frankenstein -- why not become cute and wear a Lolita Dress? The Lolita Fashion started in Japan and in case you're wondering why it's called Lolita, here's why. Lolita is such a cute name and it also refers to the child-like nature of some of the clothes. This fashion is not about looking sexy, but about looking cute, pretty and elegant.

If you look online, you'll find a wide array of beautiful Lolita dresses. Yup, from the cutest to the most bizarre! The first time I visited one shop, I was mesmerized with the pretty dresses. I am not a fan of these dresses, not because I don't like them, but because I don't think they are suitable for my age. My daughter though, loves them and she has decided to wear one this Halloween. She was torn between the Long Sleeves Ball Gown Black Gothic Victorian Dress

and the Red and Black Pleated Multi-layered Bowknot Ornament Collar Sleeveless Gothic Prom Dress,

but later on went for the Red Cotton Sweetheart Short Sleeve Classic Lolita Dress, a simplier, but still elegant dress.

Oh, my daughter will love those Lolita dresses for her cosplay. Apparently, those types of costumes are also part of the Japanese anime she watches. Strange but hey, this generation is full of surprises! :)

The black gothic victorian dress is more halloween-ish, but i love the red and black gothic prom dress more with all the ruffled details & the bows on the gown. Now it reminds me of Lolita dresses worn by cosplayers, their cute actually. :)

The red and black multi-layered gown is lovely. It's a good halloween costume but would love to wear it on a ball instead.

Even though I'm not a big Halloween party girl, I love, love, love these Gothic gowns. They look good Enoch to wear on other occasions. Love that first one. ;-)
