Driving in San Diego

Renting a car when you are traveling is one thing that most tourists don’t realize until it is too late. When you are abroad or in an unfamiliar city it is important to have and enjoy the comfort and safety of driving a rented car to get around the city. Hi Ate Pie, we (the family) just came from Escondido CA, last Sat-Sun which is about 20 miles away from San Diego. We went to Wild Animal Park and my kids enjoyed it. We wnt to a few malls and shopping plazas looking for a Target dept. store to buy some stuff that we forgot to bring. We also went to Westfield North County Mall. We watched "Zohan" from Regal Cinemas. It was cheesy but very funny. The only thing that I noticed was there were only a few buses and 1 taxi that I saw. Coming from LA, I wonder how people from this place commute to and from work. Gas prices are ridiculous, I pay $4.52 a gallon of premium because my truck (Toyota FJ Cruiser) recommends premium gas only. I remember when I had my 1st car 10 years ago it was $1.34 a gallon for premium. Just my 2 cents...
