Ensaimada is a round coiled golden brown soft bread, usually topped with cheese. It is also known as Majorcan Sweet Bread and is a famous Filipino snack. Through the years, this yummy snack has evolved. Ensaimadas nowadays, were made even softer and more deliciously moist, sometimes with a few slices of salted egg and ham. The margarine topping is now replaced with slightly sweet whipped butter. But either way you have it, you're sure to finish this pastry in no time.
