The C Vitamin

Did you know that you can reduce the risk of heart disease by up to 24% if you take vitamin C supplements? I used to think of vitamin C only as a cold remedy but studies have shown that it can fend off heart disease, cancer, memory loss and even wrinkles.

It was found out recently that the C enhances the functioning of the cell linings inside the blood vessels, thus slowing artery clogging and lowering blood pressure.

Experts recommend eating a lot of fruits and vegetables, they are full of vitamin C and other healthy nutrients. Women should take them alongside vitamin E to cut the risk of stroke by up to 30%. There are really no risk in taking large dosage of the C but it would still be best to check with your doctor first and ask how much dosage of vitamin C you should take.

I had heard of this before. I started drinking fresh orange juice, daily, as a source. I now make fruit drinks in a juicer. I hope this does the trick :O)
