Get Rid of Dandruff

Having problems with dandruff? Most of the time anti-dandruff shampoos don't work and they contain coal tar, which was labeled carcinogenic by experts when used in high concentrations. One of people's misconceptions is to use more of something if they feel it's not working in the beginning. This is a big no-no when it comes to using products containing harmful chemicals.

I found a drug-free remedy for this using apple cider vinegar. Mix 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar with 1/4 cup water and pour in a spray bottle. Spritz the mixture on your hair and scalp. Put on a shower cap or wrap your head with a towel for 15 minutes to 1 hour then wash out. The apple cider vinegar will help restore the scalp's proper acid-alkaline balance and kills bacteria that clog pores.

This is great, who would of thought that something as simple as Apple Cider Vinegar would help the fight against dandruff, but, do you smell of Apple, cider or vinegar after you have applied it to your hair?

Thanks a lot for the valuable tip. I lost most of my hair using Anti-Dandruff Shampoos. I didn't know that they contained coal-tar. Please read about my views on the Global climate change and please comment my ideas.

Didn't know that about dandruff, but I switched from using shampoo to using baking soda and water followed by a rinse of apple cider and water for my hair and it looks great. My hubby said he wouldn't be able to do that because he has to use dandruff shampoo, I'll tell him about this now. I've been doing it for about four months now. Google no-pooing for more info about it.

I've just read somewhere else that vinegar is good for dandruff and itchy scalp altogether.

But how on earth do you get rid of that smell once you're done! oooey!

I've done it for my hubby and before I rinsed it out I rubbed olive oil into his scalp to moisturize and make his hair shiny. Worked like a charm! I keep cider vinegar on hand for everything. If you mix it with honey and tea and gargle it, your sore throat will vanish!
