The Better Hand Healer

Spring is on it's way but did the cold weather leave your poor hands dry and chapped despite constant moisturizing? Don't worry because the solution is right there in your pantry. CRISCO! Just scoop a small dollop of the shortening onto your palms and rub in thoroughly. It provides a super strong barrier that traps in moisture and works better than other moisturizers. Crisco shortening contains four times more the amount of water molecules needed to protect skin.

THANK YOU Nicole!!!

My hands are so dry, they sometime start to bleed spontaneously! That's what you get from doing all the housework...

So, great tip! Thanks.

This is funny because I had a playdate a while back and we were making bird feeders and used crisco to stick the bird seed on to the pinecones. One of the other mom's said my hands are so soft now and I guess I didn't know how right she was. Thanks for the tip :)

I guess I should be thankful my hubby dropped Crisco in the sink today. By the time I was done cleaning, my hands were a little softer! Great tip!

Thanks for the tip. Good ole unrefined shea butter does the trick for me.

Now I know I am not the only one with ultra dry hands. I will try this for sure. I have anything else. Good tip

Maybe put the Crisco on your hands, then use socks to cover them. Go to bed at night, wake up in the morning, and you have a new set of soft hands!
