Beating Eye Bags

Puffy under-eyes may be inherited from your parents, but you can make those bags bigger by staying awake at night worrying or by calming your nerves with a little or too many drinks, both of which make you retain water.

It may help to cut down on salt and alcohol to keep water retention at bay. For a fast fix, freeze two bags of green tea and keep them on your eyelids for 10 minutes. The tea has tannin, an anti-inflammatory that reduces puffiness. And for those of you who are suffering from insomnia, try taking valerian at night, it's a natural sedative.

This I'll try. I woke up this morning with one eye puffy both below and on the eyelid. Allergies I assume. I don't drink alcohol but I do drink a lot of tea so that may be my problem. This also gives me something to do with those green tea bags I bought thinking I could learn to love the stuff.

I've used Valerian before but have never heard of putting tea bags on your eyes at night. Thanks for the tip!

Hey Liza,

How are you, darling? I am fine and I did have a great weekend, thank you :D!

The green tea in the freezer: do we put it in the freezer after we use as tea, or do we put it there immediately after taking it off the box?

I will try this one out as well...

Have an excellent week, darling! :D

Hugs and cheers
