Ease up a Little Bit

Do you ever wonder why is it that the men in our lives have no problem relaxing, while our minds and bodies are always set on high speed? A study reveals that women feel rushed even when we have free time compared to men. And we have the tendency to feel guilty when we're not overbooked or when we're not doing anything so as much as possible we try to stay busy. Women, especially moms, were programmed to be on duty 24/7 and we find it hard to view responsibilities as indespensable. Although it's hard, try to ease up a little bit. There are some chores that you can do at a later time when you're not preoccupied with the most important tasks.

Another reason is that our brains are most of the time occupied by worry than men's. Emotional issues often linger in our minds even when they are someone else's. As a result, we create personal time-crunch problems. The best way to side step this is to think of a happy and loving memory of that person every time you dwell on someone's dilemma. Remembering pleasant details helps you break your worry cycle because the brain regions that control fearful thoughts can't be active at the same time as the regions that control loving and fun thoughts.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say that while what you have stated is absolutely true, I'd much rather be the one to feel like I never had enough time to get stuff done than to be the breadwinner and worry about making sure that my family had a roof over their heads, food in their stomachs, clothes on their backs, health care when they get sick, money for "stuff" to buy, money for vacations, education, and retirement.
Thats pressure!!!

Hey Liza,

This is the first time I am going to say this in your blog: I can't related with this post lol. Perhaps because I am not a mom yet, but even as a woman, I don't find myself having all those worries. I do what I know I have to do, and that is it.

In my free time, I relax!
And the women I interact with are like me, with some differences here and there, so...I am not recognising this type of women in my universe.

Nevertheless, it was interesting to read about it, cause I am curious to see how I will behave once I become a mom LOL ;)!

How are you, darling? You have been missing!

I wish you a blessed week!

Cheers
