    Pretty in Pink

This pretty in pink facial that I got from The Doctors TV is said to help cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize and fortify skin, leaving your face feeling young and supple. All-natural ingredients are used and you'll be surprised that it costs less than $5.

    Here's what you need:
    • guava fruit
    • plain yogurt'
    • chilled grapefruit slices
    • freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice
    Procedure:

    • Wash face with warm water
    • Cut one ripe guava fruit into halves
    • Remove seeds and cut the fruit into small pieces (Do not peel off the skin)
    • Mix the guava and yogurt together to make a paste
    • Using your fingers, rub the paste on your face in a circular motion
    • Leave paste on for 10 minutes, then rinse the face with a warm cloth
    • Dip a cotton ball in the grapefruit juice and lightly dab all over the face
    • Do not rinse
    • Let face dry and apply regular moisturizer

    The World Wide Web

My husband and I started out with free hosting for our blogs and eventually got our own domains. We first had to research the best web hosting companies and of course the ease of how to maintain our very own sites. There are so many sites that actually give reviews on the best webhosts , managed hosting and even has guides and tips on personalizing the look of your theme and layout. What we thought was a daunting task turned out to be so easy especially if you have one if not the most reliable hosts around. Having your own site is cool but getting noticed is a different story altogether.

We may have a great theme or layout but that's just one part of the big picture. We all know that matters most is what you write in your blog. Page content is very important in getting attention. What you write about makes or break a site. Having interesting posts that gets your message across with clarity is very important. The World Wide Web is expanding and new sites are put up everyday. It's fun and rewarding at the same time. If you intend to put up your own site, go for it. It's easy, quick and you'll meet great people. You'll be surprised how easy it is. I'm sure it would be a very fulfilling experience for you as it was for us.  Hubs is even talking about colocation, I'm not even sure what that is but he promised to explain it to me later.

    More potatoes... please!

Want to look more youthful?  Then have more potatoes.  Spuds contain manganese, a building block for superoxide dismutase, which scavenges wrinkle-causing free radicals.

I'll eat more potatoes from now on.  :)

    She's Better Now

Mai was admitted at the hospital for two days last week.  She suffered from UTI and mild kidney infection.  She was given antibiotics and is now feeling better, thank God.  I was too worried because she was suffering from back pain and couldn't move.  So when the doc told us that she has to be admitted, I agreed right away.  They did a lot of tests: ultrasound, urinalysis, blood tests, urine tests with culture, plus other tests that I can't remember the names. The results were negative, except for the UTI and her doctor said, the kidney infection might be because of it.  We didn't have BCBS of NC and it was only after we were discharged from the hospital that I realized we should have that.  It was a blessing that I had extra money on hand to pay for the bills, if not, I wouldn't know where to get the cash.  A health plan for each of us is definitely on top of my list next month.

    Finding the right job

The rate of unemployment all around the globe is rising, professionals and newly grads are finding it hard to land the job they want.  I've heard of some people who accept job even if its way far from their skills just for the sake of having a job.  I hope they realize that through the help of the internet, they can have access to jobs that fit their intended careers. There are over a million jobs in their listings and with a few clicks you can find administration jobs, medical related jobs, accounting jobs, and many more.  All you need to do is become a member and you can take full advantage of their database and start searching for jobs.

    Fade Blemishes and Sun Spots

Your skin can now take a break from expensive facial treatments and acne creams.  The secret to flawless skin is right in your kitchen.... lemon juice!  It helps fade blemishes and sun spots.  The credit goes to the juice's citric acid (one of the most potent alpha hydroxy acids), it exfoliates the darkened top layer of skin to fade sun spots while its anti-bacterial and drying properties clear pimples.  apply it at night time though, because the citric acid can cause irritation when skin is exposed to sunlight.

    Some Like It Hot

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine.

My husband loves hot and spicy foods. Some of his most favorite are Mexican and Southeast Asian cuisine. These are very spicy dishes. He also loves anything grilled. I don't know how he can take it, but he still sprinkles TABASCO® Original Red on already spicy foods. He says, it is more than just the kick of pepper,  but  each drizzle brings out the flavor of the food.   Pizza is another favorite food of his, and my kids must have taken after him as they too, love a few dashes of tabasco on it.  Pizza is already a mix of wonderful flavors but a drizzle of tabasco makes it Pizza Perfected

Hubs makes very good steaks. I must admit that I've started to like them hot too. Our friends love the sweetness and spiciness of his grilled dishes. Most of his recipes come from Game-Day Party Menu, check it out for some simple ideas and recipes.  We would often hold barbecues and invite our friends over. They love his marinade so much that they often ask him to be the grill master during their own parties.

If you want fire alarms to ring, ask him to cook for you.

    Battle Against The Rash

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.

What could be more irritating to your baby's skin than diaper rash?  But having the red, itchy bumps is a normal part of being a baby, and my babies  (I have two) were not spared from it.  My mom told me to change my baby's diaper frequently, every two hours if possible.  And if the baby pooped, change it right away so the rash will not get more irritated.  I also made sure to wipe all the stool and urine away before putting on a new diaper.  I applied petroleum jelly on the rash.  I'd say it was a temporary relief because it will go away for a while and then come back again if I didn't change the diaper right away.

Back then, there weren't too many choices so I had to make do with petroleum jelly. Specially formulated creams like Boudreaux's Butt Paste were not yet available.  Unlike petroleum jelly, it's less sticky and less messy and it gives immediate relief to irritated skin.  My SIL is using it now for Nikki.  She got her free sample when she visited the website.  I've also seen it at Oprah and how I wished it was already available when my kids were still babies.  It could have saved me a lot of of diapers, and more importantly, the panic I felt every time time they cried because of skin irritation.

    Get Back The Youthful Glow

Worried about your hands getting older?  Our skin gets thinner over time and add to that our exposure to sun, the skin on our hands become discolored, with an uneven, dull texture.

To turn back the clock, apply lotion with SPF to protect your skin from the sun everyday before heading out the door.  Then do this ritual at night, 3 times a week.
    1. Exfoliate.  Use a salt-based scrub to remove dull skin.
    2. Spot-treat.  What works for your face will work for your hands too.  Apply a facial brightening cream to fade dark spots.
    3. Moisturize.  Apply a lotion rich in vitamins A, C and E, to restore and nourish skin overnight.

    Slim and Fresh

Marina finally showed up at the bowling center, looking fresh and slim, after a year of hibernation.  She has stopped bowling for a while because she had a knee injury.  Her doc advised her to start dieting and shed off the pounds or else her left knee injury won't heal.  I asked if she did it with diet and exercise because she is really looking great.  I was told that in the beginning she did it with the help of the newest diet pills, recommended by her doctor.  Then when the knee got a little better she started with low-impact workouts.

I was interested in the pill.  I didn't let her go until she told me where I could get them.  :)

    It Worked!

Mai's skin is clearing up.  In fact, it has significantly improved over the last two weeks.  She was exposed to dirt and dust during her OJT and that caused her to break out.  She didn't have the time to visit the dermatologist so I resorted to searching the web for the best acne treatment.  With just a few clicks, I found one that I thought was safe for to use.  She was hesitant at first because no cream worked for her  before.  But she was surprised when the blemishes cleared up in as little as one week.

    I Want Results

No diet and workout plan is easy, but I've never really had a hard time losing weight until now.  I'm in my forties and have packed on another 10 pounds for the past 5 months.  My exercise plan, although I have changed the moves isn't working anymore.  A cousin says, I should take something to rev the metabolism, and to be honest, I am willing to try.   I know there are safe diet pills for women but I have yet to ask my doctor if it's alright for me to take them.  Hopefully, I'll see some results when I take them.  It really gets frustrating when you know you've been good and exercised daily and yet, your wait remains the same.

    Gorgeous Locks in Minutes

Split ends?  Here's a quick fix:  In a bowl, combine 1 egg yolk and 2 teaspoons olive oil, then apply the mixture to the ends of damp clean hair.  Let sit for 15 minutes then rinse will cool water and style as usual.  The egg's amino acids will coat the damaged hair shaft and temporarily fuse the ends together while the olive oil will infuse locks with shine-enhancing moisture.

GPS Tracking is the thing now.

It's one of the best gadgets to have ever hit the market. What was exclusively for the military and police has been made available to the public. Cars and businesses now have GPS tracking. Gone were the days of pulling over and reading a map. Gone were the days of getting lost.  Gone too were the days when truckers have to constantly radio their control to update them on their location. Parents can now monitor where their kids go when they're out with friends. Peace of mind for parents and efficient operations for businesses. These are just some of the reasons why this small and efficient gadget is a must for all.

    Seeing Nicole Rae Soon

Mom can't wait for my brother's package.  Why?  Because he has included a digital frame with all the pictures of her grandchildren with him, including the newborn Nicole Rae.  She was born a few days before Christmas and we've seen her only in photos.  We might leave for the US next summer to visit them and finally see Nicole Rae.  Until then, we'll have to contain ourselves viewing her photos.

    Late Present

Hubs will be very surprised with our late Christmas present.  The kids and I are looking over this gateway laptops.  He's been using the old, slow desk top computer and he complains of getting only a few things done.  It's high time he gets a new one and we have decided that a laptop would be more convenient.  At least he can bring it anywhere and work whenever he wants.
