Remember my article a few months back about eggs being good to weight watchers? Well, here's another great reason why you should enjoy it everyday. Aside from making you feel fuller for a longer period of time, researchers found out that this incredible edible helps cut breast cancer risk. They have discovered that increased consumption of choline, a nutrient found in egg yolks, lowers the risk by up to 24%. Eat one or two eggs daily for extra protection. Choline can also be found in nuts and beef.

Seeking People with Passion

I have been blogging for more than a year now and I know I sound redundant whenever I say that meeting new friends from the four corners of the world is one of the things I enjoy the most. It's true. And it's more fun when I meet fellow Filipinas living in other countries who are married to foreigners. Some of them have met their husbands online. I find nothing wrong with that but it makes me really curious how these online dating sites operate. I am not an adventurous person and I've always thought that dating sites are not that safe. So one time, I was surfing the net and the snoopy me stumbled upon passion search.

I found out that dating sites are actually safe. You can even create, join chat rooms, join video chats, send instant messages, meet people who shares your interest, and join their swingers parties. Your search for friends can be even narrowed down to what you're really looking for using the site's quick search bar to look up members based on their personalities or information. It's free to join and if you don't feel like giving out important information right away, you can hide under a screen name.

Have fun learning about the people you meet and their culture. Those who are single and looking for friends or someone special may take advantage of this free dating service. They have numerous profiles with singles looking for discrete relationships, romantic dates and marriage, so you will definitely find the person you've been looking for!

Brown or White?

I've always thought that brown sugar is better than white sugar, but I recently read that there's not much difference between the two. The brown one may look more wholesome, but it's simply white sugar with molasses added for flavor and color. While it's true that molasses contains nutrients like iron, calcium and potassium, the amount in brown sugar is too small to make a difference. Too small that you'd have to eat more than two cups of it to get the calcium in a glass of milk. Brown sugar contains 17 kilocalories per teaspoon and white sugar contains 16 kilocalories per teaspoon. The only difference between the two are taste and the effects on baked goodies.

Buying a Tennis Racquet

I am buying a tennis racquet for the first time. No, it's not for me but it's for my mom's client. She asked me to do it for her because it's her client's birthday next week, and she thought that would be the perfect gift for him. Honestly, I don't have any idea what to look for, I know nothing about Tennis Rackets. I have enjoyed watching tennis matches on tv, but that's about it. Had she asked me to buy a bowling ball, then it would have been a lot easier, lol. Hubs said, I should check on the buying guide first so I'll have an idea what to look for, which I did.

I've learned that there are a few important things to consider when choosing the optimum tennis racquet for a person's needs, and that includes the size and shape of the head, weight, balance, length, thickness and the material that the frame is made of. Whew, this made my task more difficult. Now I have to find out if my mom's client is a recreational player or a serious player. And I have to find out soon so I can take advantage of the sale at the tennis racquet superstore. This is becoming a real challenge for me so wish me luck guys.

Knowing your best time

Are you having troubles exercising consistently? I have read that it might not have anything to do with motivation. The key is to know your best time of the day to exercise and check your body's clock before deciding when to work out. For example, if you wake up really early, a brisk walk at dawn is a great way for you to start the day. For those who don't rise up early but don't stay up for late night talk shows, you're at best between lunch and dinner time. So it will be best to plan your exercise time for the late afternoon or the early evening before supper. Those who like to stay up until after midnight and then sleep late in the morning, are not ready for workout until after dinner. Just don't try exercising two hours before your bedtime because your elevated body temperature can interfere with a good night's sleep.

Knowing your best time of the day to exercise can help you achieve your goal.

Coupon clipping, is it worth the savings?

With the recession we are facing right now and the continuous increase of our cost of living, many families are having a difficult time making ends meet. Money has been really tough nowadays and I'm sure most of you are finding ways to save money in whatever way you can. One of the best ways to save money is to use coupons when shopping for your family or for your home. If you've never used coupons before, now is the time to start and believe me, you'll be surprised at how much money you can save using them. Coupons can cut back your bills in half.

While it's true that clipping coupons and sorting through shop ads and newspapers are time consuming, it's worth it. And what's even better? Coupons can be downloaded on the internet and are printable. And one of the most popular coupon sites I found is Coupon Trunk. You can find everything on this site. Whether you are are looking to save on home improvement products, shoes, clothes, books, watches, beauty products or groceries, you can find it on this site.

For me, coupon clipping is worth the savings and I have come across a lot of articles from other mom bloggers attesting on how much money they have saved using coupons.

Do you need a bathroom makeover?

Are you tired of spending your mornings rummaging for a hair brush, a cotton bud or a lipstick that has gone missing-in-action in a drawer? Having tossed it into the drawer, you are sure it's there, but you cannot find it amid a tousled pile of toppled mouthwash bottles, dental floss, sample-size versions of toiletries you collected from your last vacation, shower caps, first aid and grooming products, and cosmetics.

If your bathroom cabinets are awash in clutter, then take it as a sign that you need to reorganize so you can find everything you need when you need it. A frenzied morning can ruin your whole day, so to fix the jumble you need a total overhaul. You can give your bathrooms a renewed personality without a major makeover. You don't even need to have a big budget for that. Just a few quick changes and additional bathroom furniture or storage units can do the trick. What's important is to focus on a few quality fixtures instead of trying to buy a lot of inexpensive components, you'll be surprised at how much you've save in the end. A clean and well-organized bathroom can enhance your life beyond measure, believe it or not.

Treat scars with garlic

I know that garlic gives us numerous health benefits such as lowering blood pressure, lowering cholesterol, helps prevent the formation of blood clots and many more. I have a friend who has high blood pressure and every time she feels that her blood pressure is going up, she would peel a clove of garlic and pop it into her mouth. Just like a candy, she would slowly dissolve it in her mouth. It doesn't taste good but she says it is very effective. I've also heard from the "oldies" that the first aid to dog bites is to rub a sliced garlic on the wound. It helps kill rabies and stops it from spreading giving you enough time to get medical help.

I recently came across an article about garlic being used to treat scars. The author says that when she was 8, she had a bad fall and had to get 12 stitches on her chin, which left an ugly scar across her jaw. Her mother rubbed garlic on it 3 times a day for the next few weeks, and the scar was gone. Years later, she had another nasty scar, applied the same treatment and it worked again.

It's the first time I've heard of it but being a person who looks for alternative ways first before taking any form of medication, I'd definitely give this a try the next time I or any of my kids get a scar.

Breast Cancer in Men

Some may not believe it but it's true, breast cancer is not just a woman's disease, men can get it too. Though it's far less common than in women, it is possible for them to develop breast cancer because like us, they have breast tissue. One in every 100 cases of breast cancer is a man and it occurs more commonly in those aged 50 years and older, African-Americans, those exposed to radiation therapy, and those with family history of breast cancer.

All men are potentially at risk and should begin doing breast self-exams just like what we do, lying flat with the arm raised above the head, checking for lumps beneath the nipple. A painless lump in the breast close to the nipple is the most common symptom. If the lump is found to be malignant, your doc may recommend breast removal. Other symptoms to look for are: discharge from the nipple, a change in the shape and appearance of the nipple, a change in the shape and appearance of the breast (such as swelling and dimpling), nipple retraction, redness or scaling of the nipple or breast skin, pain, and swollen lymph nodes (glands) under the arm. If you find any of these, it is important to see a doctor as soon as possible because finding it early means a better chance of effective treatment.

Nature's Perfect Food

It's a jungle out there in the diet pill counter. With new arrivals hailing from exotic locales like the Amazon rain forest - and with names that sound unfamiliar to us - you get more confused as to which of them really works, and which don't. But the only pill that stands out among them is Acai, packed with 10 times more antioxidants than red wine, acai berry is not called nature's perfect food for nothing. It is touted to be one of the healthiest and most effective weight loss agent and is considered to have the best overall nutritional value of any fruit on earth.

When it's losing shine...

Do you ever wonder why our hair is losing luster over time? As we age, our scalp gets drier because our skin produces fewer ceramides, the one which gives moisture to the scalp. The oil gland activity also diminishes resulting to dull and dry hair. Add to that the frequent use of damaging hair dyes which further exacerbates the dryness and lack of shine. To make sure your crowning glory looks and feels touchable, follow these simple steps:

1.) Use a conditioner every time you wash. It can leave your hair looking limp but if you apply it only from midway up the hair to the ends to avoid the roots, you can preserve the volume. Regular use of conditioner cuts down on friction, thus avoiding breakage.

2.) Do a cold rinse at the end of your shower or blast your hair with cool air once you're through blow-drying. Doing so helps seal the cuticle so it lies flat and stays shiny.

3.) Make sure you protect your hair with leave-on heat protection when using a blow dryer, curling iron or straightener. These lotions or sprays go on before styling to form a barrier between your hair and the hot appliance, to avoid hair damage.

4.) When brushing, choose a brush with lots of tightly packed bristles to really smooth hair. Hair experts recommend boar or sable bristles for the strands and a boar-plastic mix for medium to thick hair.

5.) Consider a gloss treatment after a color service.

Say it with Diamonds

A diamond has superlative physical qualities, it is the hardest material ever known to man that is why it is very suitable as a Jewelry. It lasts forever and never fades.

Diamonds are pricey but you can't deny the fact that it is very romantic. So when a man proposes to his fiancee with a diamond ring worth two months of his salary, that means a lot of sacrifice for love on his part. We all know how important marriage proposals are. Every lady expects to be treated like royalty. And the best way to please her when it comes to giving Engagement Rings is to say it with diamonds. It makes your woman feel very special and of course, loved. It's a very romantic gesture no woman will ever forget.

Diamonds appreciate with time. Just like that love that you would like to express to your special someone. It's a lasting present that would remind your fiancee how much you love her.

A Spice that Heals

Feeling quesy? Ginger is the answer. The tasty, slightly spicy herb can be very soothing to a tummy unsettled by "not-so-good" foods. Whether you take it candied, dried in ginger snaps, tea or ginger beer, it can help soothe a trouble tummy.

Since the old times, it has been known to calm nausea and it has been proven that a substance in ginger shuts down a nerve receptor in the body that triggers the vomiting reflex.

I know a lot of people don't like the taste of ginger but you can add it to your food if you can't take the tea or candies. Here, try this: Add 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger and a few drops of toasted sesame oil to your usual salad. You'll love the nutty, Asian taste!

Oh, so slow!

Hi guys! Sorry for my failure to reply to your comments and for not returning your drops lately. Something really bad happened to my computer. While Windows was installing a security update the file was somehow corrupted. It locked out the primary account and created a temporary account in its place. The settings were altered and although the file is still there, I still can't access it. Hubs has re-installed firefox, it's working but when I try to open some of your sites, the browser crashes.

Right now I'm using the old "turtle" computer and it's taking me longer to do everything. The technician won't be in until Thursday, so I will have to settle for this for now. Again, I apologize. As soon as we get it working again, expect me to drop by your sites. :)
