Keeping your hairbrush clean

One of the keys in keeping your hair healthy is using a clean hairbrush all the time. You wash and shampoo your hair everyday so why not clean your hairbrush every so often? I don't see the point of washing your hair daily if you're going to use a dirty, fuzz filled brush to style it. Everyday use will leave natural oil buildup or gunk built up from hairstyling products. Not cleaning it regularly means the dirt and oil buildup will be transferred to your hair, I'm sure you wouldn't want that.

The first thing you do in cleaning is to remove the hairs from your hairbrush. You can actually use your fingers to pick up excess hair but if it proves to be difficult, try using another brush or a toothpick. Then clean it with warm water and a mild soap. An old toothbrush may come in handy to gently remove oil residue and excess dirt. For further sanitation, you can soak it in this solution for 10 minutes: one part vinegar to four parts water. Give it a good rinse after soaking with warm or lukewarm water (you wouldn't want your hair smelling of vinegar). Then hang it up to dry or just lay it out on the table.

Prevent it from getting a lot of shampoo and styling product buildup to keep it clean. Wash it at least every two days and regularly pick out excess hair. Take extra time to care for it, your hair will thank you for that. It will not only keep your hair healthy but you can also keep your hairbrush longer. We spend a lot of time caring for our hair, some of us even spend so much for it. Investing on a good one and taking care of it only makes sense. By the way, it's recommended to replace hairbrush at least once a year to maintain the health of your hair and scalp.

Max, this post is for you. :D

The Smell of Roast

Did you know that the smell of roasting meat can sap energy? That's according to experts at Chicago's Smell and Taste Research Foundation. Researchers say the food's odor molecules naturally dampen the brain's ability to produce energizing beta waves. It may help to step out of the kitchen while waiting for your roast to cook. Or go to your garden and smell the flowers to boost your brain's production of beta waves. It can increase your energy levels by 25 percent in just one minute.

Accessorizing with Danglers

Hi Ladies! Here's another great tip for all of you... accessorizing with chandelier earrings or hoops is a very smart move. Back then we used to call them danglers and these earrings are not just stylish and fashionable but they bring emphasis to the face and away from your figure flaws. I find them very attractive and beautiful. And they are sensuous, no wonder a lot of men find them really sexy. It's a great accessory that looks great even for people with short hair.

You can check out these Earrings at LuShae Jewelry. The site offers a wide variety of these sensuous earrings from different metals, designs, styles and of course prices. With their huge collection, I'm sure you'll find something that will suit your taste and budget.

Your ears are not pierced? That won't be a problem either, because LuShae gives you a lot of options. You can choose from clip-ons to magnetics to screw type earrings. I would recommend the screw type because they are the most comfortable among non-pierced earrings. They work just like the clip-ons but offer fine adjustment.

Whether you choose hoops or chandelier earrings, just remember to make sure the rest of your jewelry matches your earrings.

No More Chicken Neck

Having problems with neck sag? You can outsmart it with this simple tip I found. To tighten the neck and jawline, place both hands side by side if front of the throat. Using your fingers, push the skin on your neck firmly upward to the chin and then outward toward the ears, circling down to your collarbone. Repeat twice. The motion helps increase blood circulation and drains fluid buildup. According to the article, doing it daily should result in leaner neck in four weeks.

Getting a Payday Loan

At some point in our lives, we have experienced a breakdown on our cash flow. In my case, it happens a lot of times as I have mentioned in my previous posts. I know I’m not the only one and there are many out there who are even suffering from bad credits brought about by unavoidable circumstances and situations. But having a bad credit doesn’t mean you can’t obtain payday loans anymore. Fast Cash Payday Loans Online will help you get the payday loan you need without leaving the comfort of your home and waiting for banks to open. Loans for Bad Credit are easily obtainable regardless of what your current credit situation is. Have the financial freedom you long for and let the web site help you get back on your feet again.

Fast Cash

I was talking to a friend a while ago, and she’s been complaining that she’s always short of cash. Sales from her craft store have dramatically dropped because of the present economic situation. Her mother was hospitalized 2 weeks ago so she had to send money back home, which drained her bank account. There are past due bills that need immediate payments and other list of items that she needs to buy for her family. I wanted to help her but I don’t have extra cash to lend her at the moment. She’s avoiding borrowing money from other friends because she knows they are in need of cash too.
It was just right on time that I stumbled upon Pacific Advance. I called her back immediately and told her to check the web site. The site provides borrowers cash advance loans up to $2500 overnight with the lowest interest rates compared to other sites. Once approved, cash is deposited to your savings or current bank account. They require no documents, no credit checking and you can be sure that the transaction is secure and confidential.
Marie applied for a loan and was approved immediately, the only requirements they asked is her proof of income and if she has a checking or savings account. At least now I am not worried because I know where to run in case I would need cash immediately.

Plants to the rescue

A lot of skin care products claim to use healthy natural ingredients. While this may be true, natural ingredients are often used in very small amounts they do not do us any good. If the lotions you have used for your complexion problems only make them worse, the best thing to do is to free yourself from the harsh chemicals found in these skin care products. I found some natural alternatives that have powerful properties that I'd like to share with you. These are all plant-based and gentle on skin.

For irritation and inflammation try using aloe vera gel. Recent study shows that aloe vera, when applied to UV burns, eased inflammation better than a 1 percent hydrocortisone gel. How to use it? Cut a leaf from the plant, squeeze some of the liquid onto your fingers, then apply it directly to your skin.

For acne and blemishes use tea tree oil. A study published in the Medical Journal of Australia found that a 5 percent tea tree oil gel reduced acne as effectively as a 5 percent benzoyl peroxide lotion, but with fewer side effects. How to use it? Put one or two drops of the essential oil on a cotton swab then dab blemishes.

For dry and scaly skin try using hazelnut oil. This oil is similar to our skin's natural oil and according to experts, this lightweight moisturizer penetrates the upper layers of the epidermis. Use it by massaging into skin right before bed to allow it to soak in overnight.

about term life insurance

A friend called me up earlier asking for some advice on life insurance. She is planning to purchase a life insurance for her and her family but she is quite confused with the terms used on the life insurance quotes given to her by several companies. Knowing that I worked part-time in an insurance company before, she asked me to explain it to her. There was really nothing much to explain, I just told her that if she chooses a term life insurance, her coverage can help her pay off a loan and at the same time provide extra life insurance protection while she is raising her kids. But I also had to remind her that a term life insurance works only for a limited period of time.

More reasons to go nuts

Did you know that substituting an ounce of nuts for a snack such as a handful of crackers or chips can reduce your risk of a heart attack by 30 percent? Nuts are packed with fiber, monounsaturated fatty acids, and other nutrients that may help lower bad blood fats while helping you feel full longer than carbs do. Here's more, nuts won't cause you to gain weight! So snack on nuts, they're not only yummy but they're good for you. ^.^

Web Hosting Guide

Blogging and owning a web site is so popular that many people I know have their own web site. Anyone can have a web site and putting up one is very easy, you may choose to start with a free blog or buy your own domain name. If you opt for buying your own domain, the next thing to consider is who will be hosting your site? Would you rather host it on your own or take advantage of the free hosting offered by the company where you bought your domain name?
Should you decide to host your web site, here are some of things you should take into consideration before purchasing a web hosting solution. It should have high quality, reliable, fast and secure servers, uptime should be 99 percent and it should have an excellent technical support. I made a mistake of purchasing my web host solution then without asking around and reading reviews. I was very new at blogging and I was too excited to purchase my own domain and host it on my own. As soon as I found what I thought was the cheapest, I immediately made my purchase. Only to find out later that there were more downtime than uptime. I ended up losing more because of lapsed assignments. I knew then that I had to find a new web host.
So as far as web hosting is concerned, look for the one that will give you full control over your domain name and will allow you to host unlimited domains. If you're still confused and you need a better understanding on web hosting, just click on the link for a complete guide and let them help you find the best web hosting solution.

More on Whole-grains

You probably know by now that whole-grains can ward off blood sugar spikes. Well, here's another interesting info, Scientists from Sweden have discovered that the effects of whole-grains balancing the blood sugar lasts for up to 10 hours. They found out that people who ate whole-grains like barley for breakfast enjoyed a 44 percent reduction in the severity of blood sugar swings at lunch and a 14 percent reduction at dinner. It's because of betaglucan, a form of soluble fiber that slows sugar absorption. Another great reason why you should go whole-grains. :)

The Better Hand Healer

Spring is on it's way but did the cold weather leave your poor hands dry and chapped despite constant moisturizing? Don't worry because the solution is right there in your pantry. CRISCO! Just scoop a small dollop of the shortening onto your palms and rub in thoroughly. It provides a super strong barrier that traps in moisture and works better than other moisturizers. Crisco shortening contains four times more the amount of water molecules needed to protect skin.

THANK YOU Nicole!!!

Safe for you and your baby

Coming from a very conservative family, my mom and my Mil had set so many "do's" and "don'ts" during the times that I was pregnant with my first and second child. But since I love and respect them both, I obediently followed each one of them knowing that they're for our best. Having married way too early, I knew so little about pregnancy/motherhood but thanks to their help and a little research, I managed. I am lucky I was one of those who didn't have to go through the dilemmas of pregnancy. I didn't have to suffer from morning sickness, I didn't become choosy with what I eat, yes I have had some cravings too, but one thing that really surprised me was I became vain. I always made sure I look my prettiest even without make-up. It was when I was pregnant that my skin was the clearest. No blemishes whatsoever and I didn't have to worry about acne treatments. But some are not as lucky, indeed, pregnancy affects a woman's body in a variety of ways.

My aunt had pimples all over her face when she was pregnant. And worse, acne treatments at that time were not easily recommended for preggos because they contain harmful ingredients that may be bad for the baby. Her ob-gyne said skin breakouts are normal because of elevated hormone levels. It was only after she has given birth that she was able to take treatments.

Beaute de Maman products are great news for moms-to-be, formulated to ensure the safety of both the mom and the baby. I'm glad they have this now because if you've been there or know someone who's pregnant, you know how important it is for them to still look beautiful. Often, the hormonal changes in the body make them feel insecure. They need to be constantly reminded that it's alright and they should be feeling happy and healthy during this special time.

For more info on these products or you need to order now, just click on the links to be directed to the website.

Ease up a Little Bit

Do you ever wonder why is it that the men in our lives have no problem relaxing, while our minds and bodies are always set on high speed? A study reveals that women feel rushed even when we have free time compared to men. And we have the tendency to feel guilty when we're not overbooked or when we're not doing anything so as much as possible we try to stay busy. Women, especially moms, were programmed to be on duty 24/7 and we find it hard to view responsibilities as indespensable. Although it's hard, try to ease up a little bit. There are some chores that you can do at a later time when you're not preoccupied with the most important tasks.

Another reason is that our brains are most of the time occupied by worry than men's. Emotional issues often linger in our minds even when they are someone else's. As a result, we create personal time-crunch problems. The best way to side step this is to think of a happy and loving memory of that person every time you dwell on someone's dilemma. Remembering pleasant details helps you break your worry cycle because the brain regions that control fearful thoughts can't be active at the same time as the regions that control loving and fun thoughts.
